She had me at, “Hi! Do you wanna come see all my animals in my room?” I expected her voice to be soft and quiet. But it was full of spunk and rasp.
It would be pretty accurate to say I fell in love with sweet Mia within the first, oh… 5 minutes of meeting her.
We spent the first twenty minutes of my time with her, meeting all her best stuffed animals and dollies.
Once her entire bin of her favorite friends were emptied onto her floor, we went to mom and dad’s room. Where I was able to witness love and play and moments between Mia and her mom that would make your heart turn to mush. It was a very special opportunity not only to capture it all, but to simply be able to witness it. To be apart of it, even if for a little while.
She drew pictures on her chalk board. And ate goldfish in the kitchen. She jumped on beds, and then got all snugly in hers and by the end, it was hard not to try and beg her mom to let me take her home with me.

Mia has a beautiful mother (as you witnessed above) and she also has an adorable little brother Cohen. Who also stole my heart right away as well. How could I not grab a few of this little guy?!
By the end of my time with Mia and her mom and brother, I was grinning from ear to ear. It felt good to be apart of something so lovely. And to be able to photograph it? I felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
