It’s Monday after all and who doesn’t need a good laugh to help make this day a little better? So I thought you might get a giggle from seeing some of my images from when I first started out (circa 2007 ish):

ummm yeah. You guys….I thought I was pretty dang awesome then. Sigh- yes, I am serious.
I have learned a lot since I’ve taken those pictures. Probably one of the best and fastest ways to improve your photography is to get feedback from a professional about your images. Getting an outside perspective from someone you trust can really make all the difference in fine-tuning your artwork.
Chic Critique Forum has asked me to be one of their Celebrity Photographers. There are only a few slots available for active participants in my 4-week Critique class in April. There are also some spots for those who want to sit back and watch others get critiqued (so you can dip your toe in). I know it may seem scary to submit your images for critique but I promise, it will be so beneficial to your growth as a photographer.
Hope to see you there!
Live better. Love more. Create now.

imene - I didn’t laugh as much as I admired your courage. It is so refreshing to see talented photographers admit that they made beginner mistakes. It gives me hope ;0)
I looked at some of mine and got a good laugh ;0)
cass miller - Beck, you’re so awesome. Letting you view my work last year and being able to sit and chat with you was THE BEST thing I’ve ever done for my photography. I’m sure you’ll be changing some lives here shortly. xoxo
Posy Quarterman - Hey Lady, props to you for going from this to celebrity in five years!
Brooke Schultz - Hah, I recently scrolled through to the very beginning of a photographer who is now wildly popular–and, yep, she was terrible when she first started. Comforting.
Stephanie - Ahhh, resurrected images. But hey we all start somewhere! And look where you are now you fabulous girl, you! I just posted on my biz page shots circa 1995 (i’ve gotta few years on you Beck!)
Melissa gray - I just looked at my stuff from two years ago and it is crazy to see the difference and I am nowhere near as awesome as you. But I keep trying, researching, reading and keep picking up my camera and hope to improve with each day.
