i want to remember

I want to remember those long days of studying, so I don’t forget how hard he works for US.

I want to remember the day we ate ice cream on our front porch, so I don’t forget one of the best days of our summer 2011.

I want to remember her tenderness, so I don’t forget why her siblings love her so.

I want to remember the three bedroom town house that we fit six people in, so I don’t forget why our relationships are so close.

I want to remember what it looked like, so I don’t ever forget my favorite place in the world.

I want to remember her quirkiness, so I don’t ever forget how she teaches me to be myself.

I want to remember the little messes around the house, so I don’t forget the wonderful time my children have playing together.

I want to remember the noise (oh the noise), so I don’t forget that most of it was laughter.

I want to remember how he never stops for a second, so I don’t forget how much fun it is to have a boy.

I want to remember her chubby cheeks and her baby feet, so I don’t forget how much I love having her soft baby skin next to mine.

I want to remember how much we laugh together, so I don’t forget what a wonderful man I have been blessed with.

I want to remember it all, so I don’t forget what an amazing life I have.
