If you forgot already, I am apart of a 26 week project this year. If you didn’t hear about it and are just late to the party, don’t worry, you haven’t missed much. The first of the month was our first challenge and you can find that over HERE.
January’s technique: Unique Lighting
This week’s theme: Let’s get close
My oldest girls, Sadie and Jessie, were born only one year and four days apart. This, I knew, would make them very best friends or worst enemies. Obviously, I hoped for the first. And luckily -so far- its true. They are kind to each other. They laugh with each other. They watch our for each other. They are concerned for each other when the other is hurt. They cry for each other when one is sad.
I love when I can look back at my kids while we are in the car and I will catch the two of them holding hands. Or when I go to bed, I will go in their room to check on them, and one of them has snuck into the others bed and they are fast asleep in each others arms.
I pray they stay this way. I hope they love and adore each other all of their lives.
Let’s Get Close – lit by table lamp held above them by their dad. Contax 645. Film: Portra 800 desaturated..jpg)

Tracy - My sister and I are 1 year and 10 days apart. We’re now in our early 50′s. We were that close as kids and continue to be as adults. It hasn’t always been easy – it can be a struggle to know where you start and they end, etc. But it’s the BEST.
