TOGETHER

They laughed the entire time.

Their love was apparent and so fun to watch.

These were some of my last shots while shooting digital. I was testing out the Canon 50mm 1.2. I liked the lens, but would never buy it. I could not get focus at 1.2. Not even shooting a non moving fruit basket on my kitchen table. I love the focal length and I loved the color and contrast it gave me, but I could never pay the 1.2 price and not be able to use the 1.2. Maybe there are 50mm 1.2′s out there that get wonderful focus at 1.2, but I personally would not take the chance. Way too much money.

Thanks for looking!

Jeanna Hayes - I LOVE THESE TWO!!!! Even just meeting them once, I can tell they are PERFECT for each other. And of course these are amazing shots (no pressure on me in January, huh??? :) .

So I’ve rented 2 lenses so far… the 85 1.2 and the 50 1.2. When I rented the 85 (for Jessica Claire’s workshop), I LOVED it, but it was totally hard to focus at 1.2. When I DID get a focus, nothing could compare! It was stunning and creamy. So it was kind of all or nothing and I had to take like 15 shots to get one GREAT one. Then I rented the 50 1.2 about a year later. I actually thought it did a great job. But when it came to buying, I ended up getting the 85 (I don’t remember why I bought it over the 50). I know it sounds crazy, but the 85 lens I rented back in the day, focused better than the one I bought! How the heck can they be different??? But I swear they are! Now I have to take more like 30 shots to make sure I get one great one. I do love what it can do, but it’s difficult.

Ahhh, fun with lenses :)

Beth Benoit - OMG, LOVE these! Like all the way to the moon and back! And thanks for the 50mm 1.2 review. I rented it a few weeks ago and had the very same experience so I was glad to hear your thoughts too. Thanks for sharing!

ashley dawn preston bowden - These are awesome! And they make you happy! Just looking at them! And I don’t blame you, I have heard that about the 1.2 actually. (about the focus issue)
But the pics are still amazing! :D
Talk to you soon!

brooke - Absolutely love. These are fabulous, they are fabulous.. sigh. They need to plaster these puppies all over the walls of their home! And PS Missy’s sense of style is kill-er!

Colibriphoto - Beautiful Becky! Thanks for the info on the lens. I have been wondering if I should get it a try, and I think I will hold off on it… Your work is really beautiful… you inspire me still…as much as you have… You R-O-C-K. That’s it. :-)

Brittni - Hi Becky. I have been a fan of yours for a while now. Not really even sure how I found you, but I am glad I did. Just want to say that your work is beautiful. Your love for photography is a real inspiration. I work for a photographer and all I do it edit and I do NOT like it! The request people make are insane. I am wanting to try out some film and was just wondering how you get started and if you had any recommendations. Thanks for your time :) Anywho…I think you are awesome!

Aubrey Pettit - Really beautiful becky. Loving the glow… Makes it feel more ‘love’ly. :)

donna good - I got lucky with my 50L Becky…it is pretty sharp. love this post!

ang - it’s official. i have a crush on your art. that is all.

Amanda - I feel like I could fold myself into this couple. They are stunning, and the last shot is so playful. You bring out such beauty in your clients. I love the 50mm 1.2, but cam never focus at 1.2 either. I tend to like a softer feel to my images so it isn’t a big deal.

Kristi Deter - A-mazing! Simply!

Jess - Becky girl! How are ya?? I love this post :) I was just thinkin about you today and thought I’d hop on over. It looks like you are doing great with photography. Keep up the beautiful work my dear! <3
